Keep it to yourself,
never knowing best.
Catch the vermin?
I caught the disease.
Find truth?
Look in the corner of every bruised soul,
past the charred lungs of youths bad choice.
Lies.
That's boring, ordinary;
interesting only in your head.
Trust only what you know,
or you'll find false delusions of grandeur.
Quick, like the tricky animal,
now only a blur of white
(until it slips into slow decay).
What is gravity to hold you down?
Falling off the earth isn't so bad.

Behind every lie,
the beauty is kept.
Flowing deeply below,
with its resonance
screaming to be let out.
The blood swims
in the familiar veins.
When years of knowing
fall by the wayside,
can you know the
path if it changes?
Fall out of the sky
my beautiful star.
Your place is gone
from where it once was;
but don't be discouraged.
Nothing ever changes
without a replacement.
Your dark new elegance
embraces the moons glow.
Arms stretching around
the almost fictitious love.
The wind blows cold,
but the snow has replaced
the sound of the trees.
Dark mysteries, radiant revelations.
A friendly beckon amid the long night of space.
I cannot drown,
but the riptide drags me.
Nonexistent exposure to the moons crazed night.
Perhaps you don't live here after all.
The ocher sun shone;
beating like flickering
flames across his being.
Face down,
back towards the sky.
His face cut and bleeding
from the merciless gravel;
if only he had fallen on straw.
Eyes still open, but fading,
his thoughts are far away.
Once friend turned betrayer,
the cause of his crash onto earth.
Death keeps secrets-
The swish of a pen kills the hero
yet the torn, crumpled paper revives him.
I don't want you any more,
you're just another filthy whore.
Just breathe against my ear;
whispered secrets for me to hear.
Begging me to take another hit,
the victim that's been bit.
You're my lingering torment,
a dream on repeat long spent.
You're bullshit's a hand out,
yet believed without doubt.
We've entered the same trance,
been a part of the same dance,
but now I want to drift to a new Heaven for me;
I think only then will I be free.
Gone astray;
plummeting off the earth,
into the unlit beyond.
Swallowed;
ingested by the beastly damned.
Revolting vermin of the earth.
Puking acid
that once spun their wildest yearnings.
Destroyed, wasted away;
remnants unseen.
The once one,
is not any more.

Wind Through the Spider's Web
The web strings from here to there,
spreading its disease.
Its kiss lingers across the window,
wishing to be one with it;
But two objects can never conform
especially when one's as cold as glass.
The difference is having;
need and want are two different things.
Keep it to yourself,
never knowing best.
Catch the vermin?
I caught the disease.

Tears, how I loathe you.
You serve no purpose for emotions,
but instead aim to strain my eyes
and cause inconsolable pressure to build.
I detest the sting of you,
and the taste and the smell.
You make my appearace that of
a foolish and pathetic child,
even though I attempt stubbornly
to keep you at bay.
Why do you seek to ruin me,
to reduce what little beauty I have
to grime and palor?
You achieve nothing, remedy nothing.
You serve only to cause further anguish.
Tears, how I loathe you.
Days creep by, slowly,
minutes masquerading as hours,
until I can see your eyes-
-golden brown and liquid green,
like changing leaves in autumn-
-and feel your lips pressed
lovingly against my own.
That softness,
that incomparable warmth
and fulfillment
that comes from knowing
I am the only one you love,
is what gets me through
the time spent apart from you.
Your arms, encircling me,
cause endless clichés of safety
and belonging
to echo in my mind.
Keep it to yourself,
never knowing best.
